  • The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) is underway alongside the Republic of Korea multirole guided-missile destroyer Wang Geon (DDG 978) during a bilateral exercise. Wayne E. Meyer is on a scheduled western Pacific deployment with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group.   • Sailors assigned to the Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Connecticut (SSN 22) return home to Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton after an extended underway. Connecticut is the second of the Navy's three Seawolf-class submarines, designed to be faster and quieter than their Los Angeles-class counterparts.   • A trainer with the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program works with Constellation, an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, during training in Truman Harbor at Naval Air Station Key West. The program is in Key West to maintain the mobility of its expeditionary Marine Mammal System to detect and mark the location of mine-like objects on the ocean bottom. NAS Key West is a state-of-the-art facility for air-to-air combat fighter aircraft of all military services and provides world-class pierside support to U.S. and foreign naval vessels.
