  • Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Midshipman 2nd Class Alex Petroy and an incoming junior at the University of Southern California, virtually cons a ship at sea during the 2016 NROTC National Ship-handler of the Year competition at the Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS). The three-day event consisted of using the Naval Seamanship & Shiphandling Conning Officer Virtual Environment (NSS COVE) simulators at SWOS and participating in several virtual reality conning and ship driving scenarios. CNSTC Commissions University of Wisconsin-Madison ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen

Rear Adm. Stephen C. Evans, commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC) commissioned 35 University of Wisconsin-Madison Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) cadets and midshipmen during a joint service ceremony in the Concerto Room of the Gordon Dining & Event Center on campus, May 13.
